China stocks finished higher, with the blue-chip index posting its best day in 6 wks, led by gainers in new energy vehicles firms, while strong foreign inflows also helped investor sentiment.
The blue-chip CSI300 index rose 2.4% at 5,087.02 Monday, the Shanghai Composite Index climbed 1.5% to close at 3,477.55.
Japan’s TOPIX closed lower Monday, the Nikkei ended flat to little changed.
The broader TOPIX slipped 0.22% to 1,956.56, while the Nikkei 225 Index ended 0.01% higher at 29,685.37.
Australian shares finished flat Monday. The S&P/ASX 200 index closed little changed at 7,065.6. New Zealand’s benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index was up 0.7% at 12,767.83.
