Summary: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis calls for employers to be held liable if their employees suffer injuries from mandated vaccines even if the mandates were a result of federal edicts.

“We need to take action to protect Florida jobs and we have a situation now, unfortunately, in our country where we have a federal government that is very much trying to use the heavy hand of government to force a lot of these injections,” Governor DeSantis said.

If OSHA ends up coming out with the mandate dictated by Mr. Biden, he plans to contest it. He also plans to contest federal mandates on contractors that work with the federal government, but also work on the state level.

Plus, he will contest the mandate that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services are talking about handing down on hospitals and health care providers that accept Medicare and Medicaid.

“So what we are going to be doing in addition to mounting aggressive legal challenges to federal mandates is to be taking legislative action to add protections for people.”
