President Elect Donald Trump will be inaugurated on Friday, 20 January.

Official Q-4 earnings season is underway, with 35 members of the S&P 500 scheduled to report to Wall Street this week.

Wednesday, Goldman Sachs Group (NYSE:GS)

Thursday, American Express (NYSE:AXP) and International Business Machines (NYSE:IBM)

Economic Reports

This week’s 1st economic reports to Wall Street will be the January Empire State manufacturing survey comes Tuesday.

Wednesday features the December CPI, December industrial production, the January housing market index and the Fed’s Beige Book.

December housing starts and building permits and the Philadelphia Fed’s January business outlook survey will be released Thursday.

This week 4 Fed officials will make public speaking appearances, as follows:

New York President William Dudley Tuesday

San Francisco President John C. Williams on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday;

Minneapolis president Neel Kashkari Wednesday

Philadelphia President Patrick Harker Friday.


US Treasury Department Action

The US Treasury Department will auction $13-B of 10-year Treasury inflation-protected securities (TIPS) Thursday.
