The Week Ahead on Wall Street
Just 2 members of the S&P 500 are scheduled to report earnings to Wall Street this week: The Kroger Co. (NYSE:KR), and Oracle Corp. (NASDAQ:ORCL). Both announce their results Thursday.
US Fed’s FOMC Meeting
The US Fed’s Open Market Committee (FOMC) will hold a 2-day meeting, beginning Tuesday. The meeting statement and updated forecasts from committee members will be released Wednesday afternoon at 2:00p EDT. And Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen will hold her Quarterly press conference at 2:30p EDT.
On the economic front
May retail sales, May import and export prices and April business inventories will be released Tuesday.
Wednesday features the May Producer Price Index (PPI), the June Empire State manufacturing survey and May industrial production and capacity utilization.
The May Consumer Price Index (CPI), the June Philadelphia Fed business outlook survey and the June housing market index will be released Thursday.
The week’s economic data concluded with the release of May housing starts and building permits to Wall Street Friday.
