The Week Ahead on Wall Street
Earning season is slowing, this week just 20 members of the S&P 500 will report to Wall Street
Included in this lot are 3 DJIA stocks: Home Depot (NYSE:HD) Tuesday, Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) Wednesday and Wal-Mart Stores (NYSE:WMT) Thursday.
Economic reports
The week’s 1st economic reports will be October retail sales, the November Empire State manufacturing survey, October import and export prices and September business inventories, which will be released for Wall Street Tuesday.
Wednesday features the October Producer Price Index (PPI), October industrial production and capacity utilization and the November Housing Market Index.
The October Consumer Price Index (CPI), October housing starts and building permits and the Philadelphia Fed’s November business outlook survey will be released Thursday.
Fed Speak
Count’em, 10 Fed officials will make public speaking appearances this week: Dallas President Robert Kaplan Monday and Friday; San Francisco President John Williams Monday; Vice Chairman Stanley Fischer and Boston President Eric Rosengren Tuesday; St. Louis President James Bullard Wednesday and Friday; Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari and Philadelphia President Patrick Harker Wednesday; New York President William Dudley and Chicago President Charles Evans Thursday; and Kansas City President Esther George Friday.
US Treasury action
The US Treasury Department will auction $11-B of 10-year inflation-protected securities (TIPS) Thursday.
