This week Q-3 earnings season hits full stride, with 178 members of the S&P 500 reporting to Wall Street.
Included in this group are 12 DJIA componenets:
Monday: Visa (NYSE:V)
Tuesday: 3M Co. (NYSE:MMM), Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT), DuPont De Nemours (NYSE:DD), Merck & Co., (NYSE:MRK), Procter & Gamble Co. (NYSE:PG) and United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
Wednesday: Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) and The Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE:KO).
Friday: Chevron Corp. (NYSE:CVX) and Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE:XOM)
Economic Reports
The week’s 1st economic report of note to Wall Street will be the October PMI (purchasing managers manufacturing index), which will be released Monday.
Tuesday features the August S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Hndex (HPI) and the Conference Board’s October consumer confidence survey.
Wednesday, September international trade and September new home sales will be released.
Thursday will feature September durable goods orders and the September pending home sales index.
The 1st estimate of Q-3 GDP, and the University of Michigan’s final October consumer sentiment survey will be released Friday.
Fed Speak
This week 4 Fed officials will make public speaking appearances Monday: New York President William Dudley, St. Louis President James Bullard, Chicago President Charles Evans and Governor Jerome Powell.
US Treasury Action
The US Treasury Department will auction $26-B of 2-year Notes Tuesday, $15-B of 2-year floating rate Notes and $34-B of 5-year Notes Wednesday, and $28-B of 7-year Notes Thursday.
