By Friday, the US government had approved 661,000 loans to small businesses totaling $168-B under a program to address the fallout from the novel coronavirus pandemic.
A $2.3-T economic aid/relief program enacted last month under the CARES Act allocated $349-B to loans to small businesses hurt by the health crisis that can be turned into grants if they meet certain conditions.
