I have stayed in many beautiful hotels over the years, but the Capella Bangkok is a reminder that all hotels are not created equal. Situated on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, this 5-Star property boasts 101 suites and villas, multiple dining options (Chef Mauro Colagreco’s [CÔTE](https://capellahotels.com/en/capella-bangkok/dining/cote-by-mauro-colagreco) is a standout), a stunning bar, [Stella](https://capellahotels.com/en/capella-bangkok/dining/stella), and one of the most sublime spas ever. 

Despite the hotel’s grand, stately architecture, the property feels more like a boutique hotel than its size implies, offering both grandeur and a surprisingly intimate experience. 

Suite included a huge soaking tub and a private jacuzzi plunge pool, as well as all the amenities 1 might expect. The most surprising thing about Capella Bangkok is the sense of calm. 

Despite being tucked within 1 of the most bustling, frenetic cities in the world, the hotel offers up its own soothing interior world that feels like a true, fantastical escape.
