Time to Stop the Special Counsel’s ‘Eternal’ Russian Investigations
Monday, CNN national security analyst Mike Rogers said the “eternal investigations” into Russian election interference should stop if no evidence of collusion with President Donald Trump’s campaign has been uncovered.
“Listen, at some point, you know where I stood on all this, I believe Mueller should have the freedom to do the investigation,” Mr. Rogers said.
“The Inspector General report on both what the FBI did and what the Russians were up to, all of that is really important, but
The committee voted along party lines in March to conclude they found no evidence of collusion with the Trump campaign.
“If it switches, you’re going to get more of the same,” Mr. Rogers said. “I don’t know how that’s helpful to the country moving on and trying to heal itself and then actually producing something that would stop the Russians from interfering in our elections.”
