Few Things are Better than the Sounds from a Ferrari 250GTO

I learned a long time ago about the sound of fast cars, I had steel pack mufflers, with cut outs on my Hot Rod Ford in the 50’s, Wild & Wonderful!

It is all about the Sounds.

Truly the Ferrari 250 GTO, the most expensive car in the world and in racing mode the loudest, I know, I had one in Y 1969 . Some think it is beautiful, I think it is powerful and sensual, not beautiful, a 250GT Lusso is beautiful.

Notably a 250GTO without a pristine racing heritage, there are a few, are way beyond the reach of even the wealthiest collectors, they command 10’s of millions each.

Here is a short film of a 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO screaming up a hill powered by the 3.0-liter V12.

The Big Q: Who is the man behind the wheel?

The Big A: It is the 1995 Ferrari Challenge International Championship winner Derek Hill, son of Formula 1 Champion Phil Hill.

Ok, now turn up your Volume, and enjoy 7 mins of this V12’s iconic Ferrari racer in action.
