The Classic Car Market says, “The $100-M Ferrari 250 GTO is Coming”

The Big Q: Is a $100-M 250 GTO in the near future?

The Big A: We do see it coming, the odds are in its favor.

The 1st $100-M car.

I remember’spitting blood to sell 1 in Y 1969 for $11,000, and just 50 yrs later they are selling in the 10’s of millions.

There are a lot of super-rich people in this world, people who are extremely successful, and who like to reward themselves with something nobody else can have.

And with a very limited number of series 1 GTOs made by Ferrari acquiring 1 is slim to none.

WeatherTech founder David MacNeil paid more than $70-M for this 250 GTO with its most desirable Series 1 bodywork.

The super-rich keep getting richer and so the vintage and classic Ferrari market for the best-of-the-best Tier 1 trophy cars remains very strong.

The super-rich are getting richer, and so are their buying habits, 8 to 9 figure purchases are common for Tier 1 examples of all rarities from diamonds, watches, to classic and vintage Ferraris and Alfa Romeos.

Last year, a painting of Jesus holding a crystal orb, dubbed “Salvator Mundi” and believed to be painted by Leonardo da Vinci around Y 1505, brought in $450-M at a Christie’s auction in Manhattan.

On such a scale, a Ferrari Series 1 250 GTO that can be experienced through showing, driving and racing Vs being hung on a wall can seem to be a good value.

Prices for these Classic Ferrari’s is Up.

Have a terrific week.
