Support President Trump, “Understand that Climate Changes”
Friday, US Education Secretary Betsy DeVos defended President Donald Trump’s decision to leave the Paris climate accord, but said she understands that “the climate changes.”
“Oh, I think the climate, certainly, the climate changes, yes,” Secretary DeVos told reporters while visiting the Eagle Academy Public Charter School in Washington.
When asked what people could do to impact climate change, she responded, “I do not have an answer.”
Secretary DeVos also stated President Trump is keeping a promise he made during the Y 2016 Presidential campaign when he withdrew from the Paris accord.
“The President has made good on a promise to ensure that the American people are not subject to overreach,” she said. “He has made good on and fulfilled a commitment to keep America 1st and to focus on American jobs.”
Secretary DeVos declined to talk further about the subject when pressed by reporters.
“I’m here to talk about students and schools today, and I would hope that we could focus on the opportunity that these kids have in this unique environment in this unique school with amazing teachers and administrators that are offering a pathway forward that many of these kids would not have had otherwise,” she said.
Have a terrific weekend.
