PANASONIC KRANJI MILE & SAKURA DAY AT THE RACECOURSE
Singapore Turf Club (STC) will be hosting the annual Sakura Day @ The Racecourse in conjunction with the running of the $700,000 Group 1 Panasonic Kranji Mile on Sunday, 1 October 2017. The Panasonic Kranji Mile is the first Leg of the Singapore Triple Crown Series, which includes the Raffles Cup on 22 October 2017 with the finale being the Dester Singapore Gold Cup on 12 November 2017.

The race will be run under the Weight-For-Age scale as published in the MRA Rules and Regulations

Come race day, STC will be decked in Japanese decorations and activities will be organised in collaboration with the Japanese Association, Singapore (JAS), to allow guests to bask in the rich Japanese cultural experience.
Every purchase of the Sakura Day package includes admission to the Derby Room along with a sumptuous buffet lunch with free flow of beverages. Package holders can look forward to activities such as the traditional Origami demonstration and sushi sampling. Female guests will have the opportunity to try on the traditional Yukatas and have their pictures taken at the instant photo booth. Guests will also be entertained by live Koto performance as well as a Japanese traditional music and dance by the Singapore (NUS) Nihon Boyu Club while they savour sake at the sake tasting booth. There will also be special appearances by the Miss Universe Singapore 2017 finalists for photo-taking opportunities with the guests.
