Singapore Horse Racing: Sunday Tips and Form
Knightsbridge are preparing to send a few horses over to Singapore, if you would like to experience the ultimate thrill of racing your own horse or being part of a syndicate contact Knightsbridge
RACE 1: CLASS 5 – 1200M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 12:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$20000
It is a very sketchy bunch in the first so do not rush to make the race, stop for a coffee somewhere on the way you will be doing yourself a favour, if the urge compells you to have a punt on this one then GOLDEN SPARK (2) drops a grade which should suit, very average runs last few starts but this is an average bunch. SECONDWAVE (10) is old as the hills but, that is a testament to how well horses in Singapore are looked after, he is not the oldie in the race, he has put in a couple of good runs and certainly knows his way around the track. MARGAUX (8) may fill a place, forgive the shocker last time out and prior to that the form is ok.
RACE 2: RESTRICTED MAIDEN (2 AND 3 YEAR OLD) (WEIGHT FOR AGE) – 1400M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 13:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$85000
This is a maiden for the youngsters and that’s never easy. KRANJI GOLD (1) has a terrible draw but has been consistent, he will give this all he has as usual and it should be enough to get him home. ZULU WARRIOR (3) had no luck last time out but the 2 runs prior were pretty good, from the Stephen Gray stable so expect the horse to be fit and ready. LADY COUNSEL (12) is certainly bred to be a great 3yo, finished well last time out and will appreciate the 1400.
RACE 3: CLASS 4 NON PREMIER – 1600M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 13:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$45000
MILLENNIUM’S RULE (1) Stephen Gray trained runner from the all conquering St George Stable was impressive last time out, he is well drawn and will be the one to beat. FIGHTING WARRIOR (7) from the Dan Meagher stable has been making solid progress, he may be good enough to figure in the finish, watch betting. Leticia Dragon saddles up WONDERFUL ERA (2) good run last time out and the stable is in form, keep safe.

RACE 4: OPEN MAIDEN (WEIGHT FOR AGE) – 1200M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 14:25 PRIZE MONEY: S$20000
OCEAN MASTER (6) another Leticia Dragon horse looks ready for a win, second up from a rest is a bit of a worry but looked fit last time out and will be better for the run.
LIBECCIO (2) from the Stephen Gray stable loves to do everything but win, he will probably run second in this but if he can not find trouble he will be a serious threat. TRIGAMY (5) haas been in and out of work so obviously has some issues, he did put in a good effort in a recent trial and should he thereabouts at the finish.
RACE 5: CLASS 3 – 1000M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 14:55 PRIZE MONEY: S$80000
LIM’S SINCERE (7) the Dan Meagher trained speedster will go straight to the front from his inside barrier, he will cover no ground and be right on the rail, in a 1000m race that should be enough to see him hold on for a win. UNCONQUERED (2) from Stephen Gray was beaten by Autumn Rush last time out but was not disgraced, Autumn Rush failed at her next run but the form is still good enough to consider him. GRAN TORINO (5) is drawn on the rail and is the only horse likely to challenge LIM’S SINCERE (7) for the lead, consistent and due for a bold showing.
RACE 6: CLASS 5 – 1600M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 15:30 PRIZE MONEY: S$20000
AEOLUS (3) hard to go past, puts his best foot forward every time and is the likely winner here in a fairly weak field. KASHAN (7) is backing up from a 3rd last week so will be race fit and might mount a challenge. THE ONE (1) should run in to the minor placings.
RACE 7: CLASS 3 – 1200M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 16:00 PRIZE MONEY: S$80000
This could be a trifecta of Lim’s, but PAPARAZZI (2) put in such an effort last time out he could actually develop in to a quality horse, certainly on that run he will be hard to beat. LIM’S ROYAL (1) from the Steven Burridge stable is a quality horse and will be doing his best work at the finish, Stephen Gray is bringing LIM’S DASHING (6) after a long break, good trial in January and races well fresh.
RACE 8: CLASS 4 PREMIER – 1200M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 16:35 PRIZE MONEY: S$60000
STUNNING CAT (5) one start for one win is hard to fault and this is not the strongest race, he looks set for 2 in a row for Shane BAERTSCHIGER. AMAZING MAN (1) has been doing well lately and this is not beyond him, he should figure in the finish. MAGIC WAND (8) is youngster coming back in distance and switching to the polytrack worth watching.
RACE 9: CLASS 2 – 1200M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 17:10 PRIZE MONEY: S$100000
Steven Burridge trained CHALAZA (4) might pinch this, good run last time for a win despite the Jockey losing his whip, expect a forward showing. TANNHAUSER (2) is a good horse but this looks to short for him at this stage, good enough to pressure them if they do anything wrong. BAO SHAN MAGIC (7) returns to the turf and will figure in the finish.
RACE 10: CLASS 4 NON PREMIER – 1200M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 17:40 PRIZE MONEY: S$45000
The old adage bad name bad horse applies to a few of these, HONOR (7) seems to have liked the move to the Freedman stable and has a chance of taking this, TURQUOISE SON (9) has not been running at his best but a return to form and he is right in this one. MAJULAH (3) has been close enough of late, may fill a place.
ELISE makes it 2 wins in a row and our 3rd in 3 days! All 3 ridden by good friend to the yard Benny Woodworth and big congratulations to winning owner PS Chua ?????
