Singapore Horse Racing: Friday Night Preview
The action returns to Kranji tonight in Singapore with 9 races on the card.
For those interested in racing a horse in partnership contact Knightsbridge they have several horses that will be headed to Singapore in 2018 and shares are available.
RACE 1: CLASS 4 NON PREMIER – 1100M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 18:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$45000
TURQUOISE SON (8) looks the business here, this 7yo from the Hill stable is a consistent horse that does all he can do every start, tonight that should be enough to take the chocolates. Black Magic (2) by in form sire O’Lonhro from Larneuk Stud in Australia has been improving and is a horse that might sneak in to the placings here. POMP (7) put it altogether last time out and may well be improving.
RACE 2: RESTRICTED MAIDEN (2 AND 3 YEAR OLD) (WEIGHT FOR AGE) – 1400M COURSE A (LC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 18:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$85000
A Maiden race but there is some form on most of the runners, that certainly helps when you are trying to pick a winner. PER INCHARGE (8) certainly will get some help from the barrier this time and Duric on board is a bonus, last start effort was pretty good, good enough to hold these out for a win. KRANJI GOLD (6) has been thereabouts at both starts, won a trial recently and looks ready for a strong performance. AUSPICIOUS DAY (1) does everything but win, and tonight may well be more of the same. the horse is good enough to fill one of the minors.
RACE 3: CLASS 4 NON PREMIER – 1800M COURSE A (LC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 19:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$45000
DANGER ZONE (7) is an oldie but should be strong enough to take this, the 8yo Japanese bred horse has been racing better horses and had a shocker last start, expect him to return to form and be there at the finish. PRINCE DARCI (5) put in an eye catching run last time out and the return to turf should suit him. TURF CHAMPION (1) is a bit of a bridesmaid, he should be in the finish but would need to improve to win.
RACE 4: OPEN MAIDEN (WEIGHT FOR AGE) – 1200M COURSE A (LC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 19:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$20000
SATELLITE KINGDOM (11) is new to Singapore but he has been trialing exceptionally well (watch) keep an eye on the betting, if any money comes for him he looks a certainty. LIBECCIO (1) from the Stephen Gray Stable doesnt win too many but is rarely disgraced, good enough to be in this race. WAITAHANUI (12) is a horse that can improve, keep safe.
RACE 5: CLASS 5 – 1800M COURSE A (LC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 20:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$20000
PRECIOUS GEM (3) has been beaten by better horses, this field is not strong and he has a good chance of a win. DRAGON (8) unreliable but fresh and that might be enough, he he puts in one of his better efforts he is a chance in this. GALAXY EXPRESS (1) can’t seem to win one but is not a bad horse, has place claims.
RACE 6: CLASS 3 (1) – 1200M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 20:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$80000
BE BEE (2) bet of the night, Group quality racehorse and impressive in every respect. LIM’S RACER (4) is a speedy character place hope but hard to see challenging BE BEE. AUGUSTANO (6) is with a new trainer and this is the type of race he likes, strong place claims.
RACE 7: KRANJI STAKES C (SET WEIGHTS) – 1600M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 21:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$80000
SHE’S THE ONE (10) one of the best mares in Singapore and has proven she can win races, light weight will help her and she will be finishing just as fast as the boys, best eachway bet of the night. BLACK SWAN (6) is on the improve and has to be considered a real chance tonight. MR SCORSESE (1) is a quality racehorse but the heavy weight may tell, should be fit from trials but prefer him after he is race fit.
RACE 8: CLASS 3 (2) – 1200M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 21:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$80000
NOWYOUSEE (5) is a rising star in Singapore and is set to make it 3 from 3 in this. DRACO (1) is in pretty good form and will be in the finish. ELITE POWER (3) ran second to BE BEE and has to be considered a real chance.
RACE 9: CLASS 4 PREMIER – 1100M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 22:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$60000
Going for a bit of an outsider here eachway, INFERMO (8) looks ready to produce an improved effort and is definitely a chance in the last. NAPEAN (2) a newcomer from Australia may surprise with a placing, recent Aus form was good. STOCK BROKER (3) has been racing better horses and is a chance of running in to the minors.
