President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani said his work with the Ukraine was not about finding dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden, but investigating Ukraine-Hillary Clinton collusion in the Y 2016 Presidential election and “proving Donald Trump was framed by the Democrats.”
“I am defending my client the best way I know how,” Mr. Giuliani said in a TV interview. “This is not about getting Joe Biden in trouble. This is about proving that Donald Trump was framed by the Democrats.“
Mr. Giuliani told host George Stephanopoulos all the work he was doing with Ukraine came because the media was dropping the ball on probing Ukraine corruption in potential Y 2016 election meddling and any assistance was aiding media-favored Democrats.
“George, is it possible for you to ever treat a charge against a Democrat in the same way you treat a charge against a Republican?” Giuliani asked the host, a former communications director for ex-President Bill Clinton. “Are you telling me if there was a sworn affidavit and the names here were Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr., you, your network, the entire Washington – wherever they are – I wouldn’t have to be sitting here showing it to you.”
Mr. Giuliani might face scrutiny for his involvement in potential wrongdoing by the administration, the President’s personal attorney explained he is merely working to “defend my client.”
“Believe it or not I’m an attorney – everything I did was to defend my client,” Mr. Giuliani said. “I’m proud of what I did, and I am proud of having uncovered what will turn out to be a massive pay for play scheme not unlike the Clinton Foundation.”
