President Trump to US Senate, “Let’s Get Healthcare and Tax Reform Passed”
President Donald Trump on Tuesday took to Twitter to again call for the end of the Senate filibuster so that healthcare and tax reform can get passed “fast and easy.”
That elicited a response from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who said, “We’re not going to do that.”
President Trump’s Tweet this time comes amid the Senate mulling and planning to rewrite the American Health Care Act passed by the House. McConnell has repeatedly rebuffed calls for a deadline that Senate Republicans are shooting for, though the White House is pressuring them to have it done before the August recess.
The onus is on the Republican Senators now.
Yes, let’s get these Key economic drivers done!
Stay tuned…
