President Trump, “There is no ‘Blue Wave'”
- “The Blue Wave is Dead”
US President Donald Trump has declared that Democratic Party’s midterm Congressional election “blue wave is dead,” saying he is confident Republicans will keep the Senate while doing “very well in the House.”
“I think the blue wave is dead, frankly,” President Trump told Christian Broadcast Network’s David Brody and Jenna Browder during an interview taped Wednesday aboard Air Force One. “And I think we are doing very well. It looks like we are going to win the Senate which is very important.”
President Trump also slammed House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who had said earlier this week that Democrats will win in next week’s midterms, saying that she has “been losing for a long time, so you know, she would like to win.”
He added later that Ms Pelosi has been “saying she is going to win for a long time. She has not been doing too well. We will see what happens. I think we are going to do very well in the House also.”
President Trump’s full interview with CBN runs Thursday on “The 700 Club.”
Meanwhile, some of the same national polls that had Hillary Clinton winning the presidency in Y 2016, polls show Democrats will likely make gains in the House, following the historical trend of the party not controlling the White House doing well in midterm elections, noted one pundit paper.
However, the Republicans look to be ready to keep control over the Senate and grow its majority, with votes expected to be boosted through a series of rallies planned by President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence between now and next Tuesday Congressional elections.
There is no Blue Wave. Elections are hard fought turnout battled, they are not a nationalized referendum on anything. Kavanaugh, the migrant caravans, Antifa, Mueller, Trump, and Pelosi all matter a little in their own way, but not enough to distract from the more compelling issues of personal economy, direction of the country, and important local matters unique in each Congressional district.
All the anti-Trump sentiment does is energize the extreme Dems in the same way that Mr. Hussein Obama energized the extreme Republicans, but it will not be enough without the other factors.
With the help of the hapless Democrat leadership, the Republicans are primed to add to the Senate majority and keeping the House.
All that barring some huge surprise in the next few day to 6 November.
Keeping America Great!
