President Trump, “No evidence of collusion with Russia”
Early Friday, US President Donald Trump Tweeted a summary of the House Intelligence Committee’s findings, saying the final report shows there was no evidence proven between his presidential campaign and Russia.
“House Intelligence Committee votes to release final report,” he Tweeted.
A redacted version of the committee’s report will be released to the public after it goes through a declassification process.
Meanwhile, Democrats on the committee plan to submit their own additions to the report before it is declassified, and say Republicans on the committee did not adequately investigate the collusion claims.
Thursday, committee Democrats, during a business meeting, sought several motions, including ones to hold former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon in contempt and to demand the subpoena of several senior WH officials, but Republicans on the committee rejected them all.
Representative Adam Schiff, (D-CA) the top Democrat on the committee, warned in a Tweet Thursday the Republicans’ actions mean Russia will once again interfere in US elections.
Mr. Schiff did not respond to President Trump’s early Friday morning Tweet
Have a terrific weekend.
