President Trump Delivering on His America First Pledge

Now, after struggling with Congressional Republicans, US President Donald Trump has spun events around on the week. He has 2X’d down on his campaign priorities by delivering wins for his strong base of supporters.

This week President Trump dramatically undercut the Barack Obamacare healthcare system, sent notice he is willing to scuttle the nuclear deal with Iran, moved to roll back coal-plant limits, and again demanded a Wall along the Mexican border.

The President is enjoying his duals with mainstream news, elite Republicans in Congress, and National Football League (NFL) players who have been protesting during the national anthem. He is winning on all of those issues.

At the end of this week, he made more progress in shredding the legacy and policy accomplishments of his Democratic predecessor, Mr. Barack Hussein Obama.

This week or President sending a clear message in that he plans to do as much as he can without waiting for Congress to act.

“The president campaigned on a bold agenda, and Congress’s inaction won’t stop the administration’s tireless efforts to boost the economy, improve healthcare, and protect the American people,” said the White House’s principal deputy press secretary.

Recall that when Donald Trump ran for President last year, he often declared that only he “alone” could fix the nation’s problems.

Once he took office, President Trump tried to follow the lead of Republicans on Capitol Hill, and he watched how little movement was made on priorities such as healthcare, immigration, and national security.

But there was little talk of the President taking a more centrist position on issues this week after the White House released a series of hard-line immigration proposals that stand to threaten any bipartisan deal.

Those deliverable’s are the fulfillment of the campaign promises featured on a whiteboard in former strategic advisor to the President, Steve Bannon, White House office.

Steve Bannon has come out and pledged to support primary challengers to Republican Senate incumbents in several states next year in a bid to unseat Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, whom he blames for impeding President Trump’s policy agenda.

Mr. Bannon is now working tethered out side of the restrictions of the West Wing, to help make America First happen. And the Democrats are running for cover.

Have a terrific weekend.
