President Trump, “We have achieved tremendous success…”
Monday, President Donald Trump, convening the 1st full Cabinet meeting since his Inauguration.
He said his administration has achieved “tremendous success” at a “record-setting pace,” even though Democrats only care about being “obstructionists.”
President Trump received brief status reports from each of the Cabinet members, the press remained in the room.
The President said with the exception of Franklin Roosevelt, “never has there been a President who’s passed more legislation, who’s done more things than we’ve done.”
Alluding to problems with advancing his agenda, President Trump hammered the Democrat’s opposition.
“If we have the greatest bill in the history of the world on healthcare, we wouldn’t get one vote from the Democrats, because they are obstructionists. That’s what they want to do. That’s the game. They think that’s their political game. They’re looking to midterm elections in ’18.”
President Trump also announced at the Cabinet meeting that he would hold a news conference in 2 weeks to give details about his plan to defeat ISIS.
During his campaign, President Trump promised he was “going to convene my top generals and give them a simple instruction: They will have 30 days to submit to the Oval Office a plan for defeating ISIS.” That plan is likely now ready.
