President Donald and Vice President Mike Pence
Week 81 in the Oval Office
|REBUILDING OUR MILITARY
Monday, President Trump signed into law the $717-B National Defense Authorization Act.
This Act adds new troops, provides pay raises to service members, builds new tanks and war ships, and much more to restore American military strength with pride once again.
Last week, Vice President Pence outlined a plan to fulfill President Trump’s vision for the US Space Force.
This new branch of our military will enable the United States to strengthen our security against 21st Century threats and create prosperity across a whole new frontier.
On 13 March, President Donald Trump trumpeted the idea of a “space force” while speaking with US Marines in San Diego, the idea for a separate branch of the military has been around for some time.
“We are getting very big in space, both militarily and for other reasons, and we are seriously thinking of the Space Force,” President Trump said at West Point.
This is not a new thing, President acted on it.
The Trump Administration will send a proposal to Capitol Hill next year, according to Vice President Mike Pence, in hopes of getting legislation passed to start the space force by Y 2020.
Prison reform is a major priority for President Trump as he builds support for final passage of the First Step Act.
The Opportunity President is committed to supporting those who are transitioning from prison so they may rejoin society with new skills and new hope for the future.
|PRESCRIPTION DRUG PRICES
President Trump is working hard to tackle one of the biggest problems in healthcare today: prescription drug prices.
Along with the recent implementation of Associated Health Plans, the President will continue to do everything in his power to increase competition, make healthcare more affordable, expand insurance options, and reduce Rx (prescription drug) prices.
Have a terrific weekend.
