Stephen Biegun, the US special representative for NKorea, arrived in SKorea Sunday for working-level talks on a proposed 2nd Summit between President Donald Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un.
Mr. Biegun plans to meet his NKorean counterpart Kim Hyok Chol to discuss the agenda and other issues ahead of the Summit slated for later this month. President Trump said he will announce the time and location of the 2nd Summit with Chairman Kim early next week.
Mr. Biegun will visit the SKorean presidential Blue House Monday to meet with Chung Eui-yong, SKorea’s national security adviser, ahead of the talks with NKorea.
Mr. Biegun will meet NKorean officials on 5 February for the talks, and the venue could be its capital of Pyongyang or the inter-Korean border village of Panmunjom.
