We Do Not Need Another Liberal Democrat in the US Senate

Tuesday, President Donald Trump discounted allegations of sexual misconduct by GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore saying “totally denies it — you have to listen to him also.”

He also signaled that it was more important for Alabama voters to ensure a Democrat was not elected in the state’s special election on 12 December

“I can tell you one thing for sure, we don’t need a liberal person in there, a Democrat,” he told reporters about Doug Jones, who is running against Roy Moore.

President Trump spoke directly to reporters Tuesday at the White House before leaving for a Thanksgiving break at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

“He denies it, I mean, if you look at what is really going on and you look at all the things that have happened over the last 48 hours, he totally denies it.”

President Trump said he would announced next week if he will campaign for Judge Moore.

“But I can tell you you don’t need somebody who is soft on crime like Jones,” he said.

“I’ve looked at his record,” President Trump added. “It’s terrible on crime. It’s terrible on the border. It’s terrible on the military. I can tell you for a fact we do not need somebody that’s going to be bad on crime, bad on borders, bad with the military, bad for the Second Amendment.”
