Consigned by Haras des Capucines, the bay is already named as Irish Trip and is the first foal out of Morello, a winning full-sister to multiple Stakes winner and black-type producer Kanzan, from the family of Group 1 Randwick Guineas victor Inference.
MV Magnier later commented on the colt’s appeal, saying, “We’re delighted with how No Nay Never’s stallion career is going. He’s had fantastic support from international breeders this year as he’s had an amazing book of mares from breeders across Europe and the US. We’re looking forward to standing his July Cup-winning son Ten Sovereigns in future too.”
Zoffany continued to enjoy a profitable few days in Deauville when his daughter consigned by Haras d’Etreham as Lot 259 was knocked down to Bertrand Le Metayer for €165,000. The February-born filly is out of a half-sister to Group 2 winner Time On (Salder’s Wells), herself the dam of a Group 3 winner, while another sibling produced Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes heroine Cursory Glance.
Gleneagles was another to sire a six-figure yearling at the closing session, courtesy of Peter and Ross Doyle’s purchase of Lot 328 for €160,000. Consigned by Elevage de Tourgevile, the chesnut colt is a half-brother to a winner in Cameo (Camelot) and comes from the family of Arc hero Rail Link and top-level scorer Linda’s Lad.
The ultra-consistent Holy Roman Emperor, who commands a fee of €15,000, rewarded consignors Haras de la Perelle when their colt sold to Oliver St. Lawrence for €110,000. Offered as Lot 329, the bay is the second foal out of Relizane, a winning half-sister to Grade 1 EP Taylor Stakes heroine Reggane.
