Morning Briefing: Major World Equities Market Indexes
$DIA, $DAX, $DJSH, $N300, $NSEI
Commentary: Asia Pacific stocks look Bullish in here as the DIA pausing to refresh.PE
Notes: The S&P 500 held steady Wednesday, finishing finishing flat to unchanged. Investors had several headlines to work through, including criminal convictions of 2 former advisers to President Trump and the resumption of trade talks between the US and China.
As for the other major US stock market averages: the blue-chip DJIA (DIA) slid 0.3%, the NAS Comp climbed 0.4%, marking its 5th straight advance, and the small-cap Russell 2000 ticked up 0.3%, closing at a new record high for the 2nd day running.
Thursday in Asia
Commentary: Asia-Pac looks Bullish with Nikkei and Nifty targeting pacing, and Shanghai Neutral. DAX is also headed North while DJIA could dip in here followed by a rise in the next week. PE
DJIA at 25733.60, -0.34% dipped a little bit Wednesday. If it fails to rise back above 25750 just now, the DIA could come back into the 25750-25250 zone for a few session, or a rise to 26000+ is possible.
DAX at 12385.70, +0.0098% continued North. While DAX trades above 12300 it could move to 12500-12600 near term. Looks Bullish to me.
Nikkei at 22404.12, +0.19% rose from 22000 this week, is moving to 22800 nicely. A clear break above 22800 in here could validate a Bullish shoulder-head-shoulder formation on our chart. Near term looks Bullish to me too.
Shanghai at 2710.98, -0.13% is Neutral. A clear break above 2750-2800 will trigger new move halting fall below 2650 medium term.
Nifty at 11570.90, +0.17% is Bullish while trading above 11500. A rise to 11600-11800 is seen medium term, 11600 or higher is expected yet this week.
