Left Wing PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) Employees Crying Over Trump Victory
The head of PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) said Thursday her employees are in tears over Donald Trump’s victory in the Presidential election, and people are asking if they will be safe.
CEO Indra Nooyi, a supporter of Democrat Hillary Clinton, said she has fielded a lot of questions since Wednesday.
“I had to answer a lot of questions, from my daughters, from my employees, they were all in mourning,” Nooyi said at a conference. “Our employees are all crying, and the question that they are asking, especially those that are not white: ‘Are we safe?’ Women are asking, ‘Are we safe?’ LGBT people are asking, ‘Are we safe?’ I never thought I’d have had to answer those questions.”
Ms. Nooyi noted that life will go on under President Trump when he takes office in January.
“The 1st thing that we all have to do is to assure everyone living in the United States that you are safe. Nothing has changed as a result of this election,” Ms. Nooyi said. “The process of democracy has happened. We just have to let life go on.
“A lot of what should have been said during the election, I don’t think was said. We let the politics trump the issues, pardon the pun. The real issues that are facing the country, we never talked about.”
No sooner had networks projected Donald Trump would be the 45th President of the United States than speculation began…
Forbes reports that Ms. Nooyi threw another jab at Donald Trump during Thursday’s event.
“Forget about the Pepsi brand. How do you talk about women that way?” Ms. Nooyi said, referencing Trump’s 2005 sexually aggressive comments that were made public in October. “If we don’t nip this in the bud it is going to be a lethal force in society.”
I have never liked PepsiCola and all of its process foods, I like it and the company less now. Nothing that the company makes and sells is good for us, it is all Junk!
Calling the stock at 95.60 near term.
