Lawsuit Filed to Expose Mueller’s Russia Probe Expenses
Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch is suing the Department of Justice (DOJ) to find out how much money is being spent on special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.
The group wants to know Mueller’s budget for the investigation, any data on reviews of expenditures and documents pertaining to “scoping, regulating, or governing” Mueller’s office, according to on the Thursday filing.
The lawsuit follows the group’s Freedom of Information Act request, which it charged had not been answered.
Mr. Mueller had submitted his proposed budget to the DOJ earlier this year, but would not make it public.
Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel’s office, told us Friday, that there will be reports on spending every 6 months.
Not good enough, this ‘dark’ DC story want lots of light now.
Have a terrific weekend,
