Large Heart-shaped Diamond Breaks Record at Christie’s Geneva Sale

The largest D flawless heart-shaped Diamond was sold last Wednesday in Geneva for $14.9-M.

The gem, which is called La Légende and was created by Boehmer et Bassenge, broke a world record in its category.

According to auction house Christie’s, the 92-carat Diamond forms the centerpiece of a necklace of cultured pearls.

It was the top-selling item at the firm’s Magnificent Jewels sale, which was held at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues and achieved $94.5-M.

The previous record for a Diamond of this kind was set in Y 2011 when a 56.15-carat stone sold for $10.9-M.
