Mohammed Al-Fayed bought Harrods in Y 1985 from House of Fraser.  During this frame he added personal touches to the landmark store including memorials to his son Dodi and Diana Princess of Wales following their tragic death in Y 1997.  In Y 2000 he chose not to renew his royal warrant claiming the Queen had not shopped there for many yrs and it would be hypocritical to display the official seal.  He sold Harrods to Qatar Holdings in Y 2010 for GBP1.5-B.

The “*Blue Box Café”* theme  celebrates Audrey Hepburn’s iconic character in the Y 1961 film *“Breakfast at Tiffany’s*”.

What we ate today

- Dainty finger sandwiches which included:-Egg & black truffle, smoked salmon with lemon & chive cream, English cucumber and pink peppercorn, New York salt beef with pickles and mustard, warm parmesan madeleines with sour cream and caviar.
- Patisserie selection which included:-Tiffany blue egg filled with lemon curd and mascarpone, Summer berry tart, Times Square chocolate cake and original New York cheese cake. 
- There is a wide selection of tea to choose from and you can upgrade to a champagne option if you wish or just have a cheeky Tiffany Martini; London gin, elderflower Violette with a lemon twist.
- I really dislike tea in any form so I had champagne followed by an un café. 
- Left humming 'Moon River"
