Interview with Male Super Model Everett Tucker
1) What made you first become a model?
I was discovered by RYU Models on Instagram. The adventure of it. Traveling and making lifelong friends along the way.
2)How did you feel when you did your first ever fashion show or photo shoot?
Felt spoiled, everyone putting me on a pedestal, it’s a great feeling, but I feel like I’m just a person just like everyone else. And it doesn’t matter the level of success, I always strive to make their lives better. That’s exactly what I did on set.
3)Who was your role model as a child an how did that help in being a model?
My role model was Jim Carey and it was recently. Don’t watch that many movies but, his outlook on the world making people smile at all costs. That’s inspiring. Other than that it’s Jesus and God that drive me to better myself, and experience things outside my comfort zone. Striving to make a change in this world.
4)What did your parent first think of you being a model and where they supportive?
They are supportive but it’s a complicated situation. I’d rather talk about my primary family. Emily Tucker, my wife is my world now. And she supports me completely. I’m lucky to have her and she blesses me every day. Even when she’s out on a navy ship overseas..
5)How is the industry changing?
The industry is a evolving one. Destined toward the next big look and stunning features. Something that captures the eye of the viewers. This has always been the history of the model. But the face of beauty always changes forever in their endless endeavor of discovering the next generation of beauty… It could be changing in my favor, or the favor of unique mixes. Rather than stereotypical beauty. We will see how the millennial models change the world this generation.
6)If your were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead?
Radiation Control, and Real Estate Investing… my brother and I have a business together flipping homes for profit. It is good money. However my dreams aren’t tied down to materialistic things. My goals are inspired by the pursuit of happiness and changing this world for the better. Social media and TV is ill with toxic people. The More morality we can put in the spotlight, the less Drug abuse, crime and corruption will be injected into the public. The only solution is for good people to be recognized for their good deeds on a global scale. To me, this is the only way to make a change, not working for the sole purpose of money..
7)What are guilty pleasures food wise?
Ice cream, cheesecake and all Italian food. Yum
8)How do you cope under the pressures of being a model?
It comes naturally, it’s not a coping issue. It’s more of a keeping my morals in line. Staying humble under circumstances that could lead someone into being anything but. However its never been my cup of tea to treat others like they are beneath me. I love people and they are the ones that are under real pressure to make this shoot a perfect one for the client. I’m a perfectionist, and my job is to meet the directors view and the clients view and perform them in a way that reflects both their visions (which almost always are a world apart)
9)What Gym tips do you swear by?
I can’t swear. However hydration is key. When you use the restroom, make sure the water comes out as clear as it came in. And also working out consistently.
10) What is your favorite fashion brand?
All brands are alright. They all look good.
