Sa Sa International Holdings Limited (“Sa Sa”), and the Hong Kong Jockey Club (“HKJC”) will co-host the 13th Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day at Sha Tin Racecourse on 5 November celebrating the city’s much anticipated annual event for ladies, renowned Asian actress Meng Zi-Yi is this year’s Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day ambassador. A fashion show will feature Irish milliner Noeleen Armstrong Kish and renowned local designer Doris Kath Chan.

During the press conference, Dr. Simon Kwok Siu Ming, SBS, JP, Chairman and CEO of Sa Sa addressed to the media that: “Thanks to the dedicated support of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day has become a grand occasion for 13 years, and is widely supported by Hong Kong people and visitors from all over the world. 80,000 racegoers joined us last year, and Sa Sa is looking forward to have more collaboration with the Hong Kong Jockey Club in the future, infusing more fantastic elements into Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day.”

Mr. Anthony Kelly, Executive Director, Racing Business and Operations of The Hong Kong Jockey Club said: “The Ladies’ Purse is one of Hong Kong racing’s oldest traditions. Over the last 12 years of Sa Sa’s sponsorship, more than 840,000 racegoers have joined us for the day, and many of those are now elegantly-dressed ladies. This is the second year in which the Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse is run with international Group 3 status worth HK$3 million in prizemoney, making it a crucial stop on the road to the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races, one of the world’s most prestigious days of racing. Exciting sport, elegant fashion and glamorous beauty produce a wonderful combination that makes Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day a must. Fun-filled activities on Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day

The 13th Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse on 5 November. Besides the featured Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse, other races are named after popular international brands available at Sa Sa stores. These include the Can Make Handicap, Eleanor Handicap, Elizabeth Arden Handicap, KATE Handicap, KOSÉ COSMEPORT Handicap, L’Oréal Paris Handicap, Maria Galland Handicap, REVLON LOVE IS ON Handicap and Suisse Programme Handicap. In addition to exciting horse racing, the event will also feature an array of activities and promotions such as the Hong Kong Beauty & Glamour Snapshot Competition, Sa Sa makeup counters, Sa Sa sales bazaar, fashion show, Best Dress Award, and Best Hat Award, among others.

To ensure that guests end the day with great memories, each racegoer will receive a limited edition brooch on 5 November (while stock lasts). This memorial brooch combines simplistic contours and shininess into a horse-shaped design reflecting the stylishness, elegance and beauty that Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day has long been represented.
