Three Series races to form a part of early schedule once racing resumes
Horse racing fans across Britain received positive news yesterday as the BHA announced a provisional schedule, starting on Monday June 1 that included the staging of three QIPCO British Champions Series races.
The Investec Coronation Cup, usually staged at Epsom, has been relocated to Newmarket and headlines an action-packed card on Friday 5th June. The supporting races for the Group 1 include Derby and Oaks trials as well as Pattern level contests like the Brigadier Gerard Stakes and the Abernant Stakes.
The first two British Classics of the season, the QIPCO 2000 and 1000 Guineas will then be stage on the Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th respectively.

However Newbury’s Lockinge Stakes will not be rescheduled, making it the first Group 1 contest to be cancelled as a consequence of the Coronavrius pandemic.
