Hong Kong stocks ended higher Friday to post their best weekly gainer in a month, as investors understand that Beijing’s new security law will benefit local markets and lead to more listings by Chinese companies.

The broader Topix added a marginal 0.1% to 1,544.95 by the midday recess.
