Jason Poston, Emerging Comedy Great Debuts at The Hollywood Fringe Festival

In my interview with Jason last week, he described himself as “A cross between Clint Eastwood and Ty Burrell—or Ted Knight, if you like.”
His character Colt McCoy, the legendary gunfighter who comes to save the day in the new Four Clowns production SHAKEDOWN AT THE DUSTY SPUR!
“My comedy heroes tend to have a sweet, almost childlike quality. People like Larry Blyden, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Steve Martin, Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, Fred Willard, John C. Reilly, Steve Carrell, Zach Galifianakas, David Shiner, Bill Irwin, Bernie Mac, Jonathan Winters, Jack Benny—they have an innocence that is endlessly compelling to watch. Their flawed humanity is fully on display. To me that’s the funniest,” Jason says.
Comedy is in Jason’s blood, he plays Colt McCoy, and he is the son beloved comedian and actor Tom Poston, his mother was the dancer Kay Hudson, and his stepmother was actress Suzanne Pleshette.
SHAKEDOWN AT THE DUSTY SPUR! is part of the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival. June 9-30, 2019, at the Broadwater Theater.
