These 2 LE Super Cars are Ferrari’s most powerful road cars of all time.
Sight and Sound!
When Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) took the wraps off of its retro SP1 and SP2 Monza Limited Edition cars aficionados cheered. They are unlike anything we have seen since Mercedes released its SLR McLaren Sterling Moss.
The SP1 and SP2 are the 1st vehicles of a new class of Ferraris called “Icona.”
These icon cars bring the past into the present in the form of limited-edition specialty craft-works made for high-status clienti and collectors.
The SP1, a single-seater, and the SP2, a 2-seater, evoke the spirit and design of Ferrari’s vintage barchettas
The sounds throughout the video comes from the Monzas’ massive heart, the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine Ferrari has ever created. Using technology taken from Formula 1 engines, it makes 799hp at 8,500 rpm and 530 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm.
Based on the 812 Superfast, the Monzas use extensive carbon fiber bodywork to create a shape that will look good in any era, past, present, or future.
Ferrari has just sent us 2 videos.
The 1 above, is a cinematic drive through the hills; the other, below, has more interior detail of these 2 ultra-limited, 800-horsepower, $1.75-M retro Ferraris.
Ferrari plan to build 499 of them in total. The cars are road legal outside the US, and capable of making 0 – 60mph in under 3 secs.
Ferrari is the Aristocrat of the world’s automotive sector and the world’s strongest brand.
HeffX-LTN overall technical analysis for RACE is Bullish to Very Bullish in here. Tuesday Ferrari shares closed at 127.88, + 1.86 in New York.
