I have been talking and writing about the coming Ferrari UV for that last 3+ years, before it even had a name and it is still 3 yrs years away from production say in Y 2022.
The Maranello Outfit’s 1st-ever FUV now officially has a name: Purosangue meaning “pureblood” or “thoroughbred” in Italian.
It will arrive with a front-mid-engine platform and hybrid drive technology, the latter being something that will increasingly be had throughout Ferrari’s lineup. While the FUV might seem anti-Ferrari, the fact is that Maranello knows it must, will deliver the world’s best and fastest.
Meanwhile, Ferrari’s new 2020 F8 Tributo coupe and Spider brings back its traditional 4-tail lamp look and adds a louvered engine cover on the coupe. The F8 uses the 488 Pista’s 3.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 with 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, increases of 49 hp and 7 lb-ft over the GTB. Weighing 88 lbs less than a standard 488 in fixed-roof version and along with the extra power, it will run from 0 to 60 mph in about 2.8 secs with a Pista-equaling Top Speed of 211 mph. I have not driven either version but it will be thrilling for sure. Expect deliveries to begin late this year or in early Y 2020.
Hang on, that is not all…
There are also the 812 GTS, the Spider version of the 812Sf and the SF90 Stradale. The 1st examples of the SF90 will be delivered to clients at the beginning of next year. It is named in honor of the 90th anni of the founding of the Scuderia Ferrari race team and is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 making 769 hp, with 3 electric motors adding 217 horses for a total of 986 hp and more than 660 lb-ft of torque. That makes it the most powerful Ferrari production car to date. A smaller, lighter 8-speed dual-clutch transmission promises Ferrari’s quickest shifts yet.
Price estimates: Purosangue: $250,000; F8 Tributo: $274,280; SF 90 Stradale: $650,000 and the 812 GTS $453,000.
Enzo Ferrari’s iconic Italian Supercar manufacturer claimed the title according to the latest Brand Finance Global 500 2019 report launched at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Note: Goldman Sachs upgraded Ferrari to ‘buy‘ from ‘neutral ‘calling the stock’s pullback a good “entry point.” “We upgrade Ferrari from Neutral to Buy, offering 15% upside to our new price targets of 182. Our thesis, outlined in Life of Luxury published last month, is fundamentally unchanged post Ferrari’s in-line 2-Q results. We view the stock’s recent pullback (9.0% since July 16) as a good entry point in here.
Ferrari will continue to create value in the long term. Ferrari is a quality 1st long term investment, and I see it at 200/share in that frame.
