Ferrari Will Unveil the F12 M at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show
Expect Ferrari to reveal its successor to the F12berlinetta early next year. Recently some camouflaged prototipos have been seen in the streets of Maranello.
The model we see here can be considered the F12’s mid-cycle update, following the scheme that saw the GTC4Lusso replacing the FF.
As it happened with those GT’s do not expect this new Supercar, code named F12 M, to go hybrid, that story looks to be reserved for the next-generation of Ferrari V12’s and will probably see a moderate gas-electric setup being introduced.
Back to the F12 M, this should be a F12 Tour De France for a broader audience. This means the naturally aspirated V12 up front and could get a bump to 770 hp (780 PS), and the rear steering system of the TDF may also be part of the package.
And since the GTC4 Lusso recently got a T version that borrows the 488 GTB’s twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8, we might expect the upcoming F12 successor to follow the same route.
Ferrari is expected to introduce the F12 M at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
We likely will not know until next February what the F12M really looks like, or what it is called. But do not be surprised if those 1st press shots wind up looking like the feature picture above.
