Being invited to take part in Ferrari’s (NYSE:RACE) very exclusive XX program is special honor, 1 not afforded just any Ferrari owner or fan, VIP’s only.
The firm’s VIPs are the only clienti considered to own an XX car, as they are track laboratories for the Maranello Outfit and seldom come to market.
Soon however, we will see this Y 2006 Ferarri FXX go to auction seeking to find a new home.
RM Sotheby’s will auction the car at its annual event during Monterey Car Week. Like most other FXX models, except for 1 Black car built for Ferrari F1 star Michael Schumacher, this racer is Red with White accents.
Here is Michael’s on the track.
It is also only 1 of 30 of the Enzo-based FXX models built and its specific purpose is track use. The next buyer will be made keenly aware he/she will not be driving to a local car events with the FXX.
Like all other FXX models, it is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-12 with 809 horsepower hooked up to a 6-speed sequential transmission. Various pieces and parts are drawn from Ferrari’s F1 cars of the time, and it’s very likely the FXX program shaped future road cars and race cars coming from The Scuderia.
RM Sotheby’s has not yet provided specific details on this car, so I do not know which production number car this is. In Y 2017, an FXX with Michael Schumacher’s signature was auctioned. If it is the same car, then expect it to hammer at a high price.
This year’s Monterey Car Week runs the week beginning 11 August. It concludes on 18 August with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Enzo Ferrari’s iconic Italian Supercar manufacturer claimed the title according to the latest Brand Finance Global 500 2019 report launched at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
HeffX-LTN overall technical outlook for RACE is Very Bullish, overhead resistance now stands at 170.49, and strong support at 163.79, all Key indicators are Very Bullish in here. Ferrari finished at 165.61, -1.90 Friday in NY.
Have a terrific week.
