FLASH: 60% of Ferrari’s lineup will offer hybrid variants by Y 2022
Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) is aligned with the times, we are about to see a shift in the company’s offerings in the next 10 years.
Ferrari’s next-generation hybrid will be unveiled this year according to comments made by Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri during its latest Quarterly earnings call.
The hybrid Supercar will sport the automaker’s 2nd-generation hybrid system.
The 1st generation found use in F1, in addition to Ferrari’s LaFerrari hybrid HyperSuper car. Unlike the V12 fitted LaFerrari this new car will come with a V8, and it’s believed to make more power than the 710-hp 488 Pista.
Ferrari’s CEO said on the call that 60% of the automaker’s lineup will carry hybrid variants by Y 2022.
Y 2022 is going to be a Key turning point for Ferrari, as it will offer a number of hybrids then, and be the time that Ferrari unveils its 1st battery Supercar. CEO Camilleri did not commit to any specific date, saying only that it would arrive after Y 2022.
Ferrari is not done with standalone internal-combustion cars by any means.
The LE Monza SP1 and SP2, will start reaching customers in Q-4 of Y 2019. There is also the “Purosangue,” the name for Ferrari’s FUV, which will be available in both gasoline only and hybrid variants.
Ferrari’s Brand: Ferrari became the world’s strongest brand, with a score of 94.8 out of 100 and an AAA+ rating just last month.
Ferrari is the Aristocrat of the automotive sector.
