Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) Hints that an ‘FUV’ is Coming
All of the worlds major luxury automobile brands have introduced SUVs but Ferrari which announced plans to develop its own “Ferrari Utility Vehicle” or FUV.
The Ferrari SUV, called the “FUV” is coming.
Ferrari CEO Sergio Marchionne said last year the a FUV is in development, and we hope to hear more later this month when the Maranello out brings out its 5 year plan.
We will wait to see.
On a side note
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (NYSE:FCAU) shares hit a record high in Milan Monday on a growing tide of analysts’ expectations that the car-maker’s coveted Jeep brand will unlock even greater value this year.
The stock jumped more than 20% last week on a Bullish outlook for the auto sector and media speculation that CEO Sergio Marchionne’s final year at the helm before he leaves to devote full time at Ferrari, could prompt strategic deals such as spin-offs, technology alliances and disposals.
That investor optimism gathered momentum Monday, with the share price at gaining another 3% in trading after Morgan Stanley analysts said that Jeep, a Key element of Mr. Marchionne’s turnaround plan and a Key profit driver for the group could make big strides this year as a global brand.
The Italian-American carmaker declined to comment.
