Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) Is Working On Cross-Posting Stories To Instagram
Facebook is currently testing a crossposting feature that will allow users to share their stories directly to Instagram.
Instagram users have had the ability to crosspost their stories for some time now. By linking their accounts on both platforms, users are able to share their stories simultaneously on Facebook as they are posting it on Instagram. It is a useful tool for social media managers but other users mostly used it to share selected moments with their Facebook friends.
A Facebook spokesperson confirmed to TechCrunch, explaining that the feature is being tested and is meant to simplify sharing moments with different audiences across their applications.
The feature might get annoying for users if they are made to sift through the same stories on both platforms, especially if they are spammed. We all have experienced the unbearable number of stories some people post on Instagram. Imagine, going through those same stories on Facebook as well.
Hopefully, Facebook doesn’t roll out a crosspost feature for WhatsApp status and Instagram Stories. Nobody wants to be riddled with the same ‘Good Morning’ and Festive graphics that consist of texts, accompanied by stock images.
