Qualifying, Saturday’s Results, Times, Final Grid
Valtteri Bottas continued his sterling Y 2019 season Saturday, he led a MercedesAMG front-row lockout in qualifying at the F1 Spanish Grand Prix.
MercedesAMG racers were dominant on the day, and Mr. Bottas took the Pole with a time of 1min, 15.406secs, team-mate Lewis Hamilton will join him at the front of the grid, while Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel will start 3rd, with Charles Leclerc 5th, when the lights go out at 15.10 to start the 49th Spanish Grand Prix, at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Hamilton Topped FP3, with Mr. Bottas leading the way in both FP1 and FP2 Friday.
The scrap to get into the Top-10 shootout found Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in the Red zone as the clock ticked down to Zero. He did enough to get through on his final lap, while Mr. Bottas pipped Mr. Hamilton to Top spot at the end of the session.
