MercedesAMG’s Lewis Hamilton has claimed the lead in the 2018 Drivers’ Championship standings after a chaotic safety car led Azerbaijan Grand Prix at Baku.

Mr. Hamilton saw a dramatic victory and maximum points in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after a crazy race around the streets of this historic city on the banks of the Caspian Sea on a cool Sunday evening.

The MercedesAMG driver kept clear of most of the day’s action in the Top 6 to take the win after both Red Bulls crashed out and team-mate Valtteri Bottas suffered a punctured right rear tire while in the lead on the last lap.

Ferrari’s (NYSE:RACE) Sebastian Vettel blew his chance for the win by locking up on a the safety car restart and came home 4th.

Ferrari team driver Kimi Raikkonen took 2nd ahead of the Force India of Sergio Perez, while Charles Leclerc and Brendon Hartley both finished in the points for Sauber and Toro Rosso.

Spain is next on 13 May, tune in.

Have a terrific week.
