Next year we will see an exciting new addition to the F1 calendar, with the City of Hanoi set to host the Vietnam Grand Prix.
Now to mark the 12-month countdown to the event, the race organizers have staged a thrilling kick-off event, gave fans the chance to admire F1 machinery 1st hand.
Based at My Dinh National Stadium Square, a venue which will become part of the official racetrack the event saw 13X Grand Prix winner David Coulthard and Red Bull Racing’s simulator driver Jake Dennis take center stage as they performed a string of high octane show car runs in a Red Bull Racing RB7 F1 car.
But it was not just displays of speed keeping the 50,000 fans entertained, with Armin Van Buuren, 1 of the Top 5 DJs in the world, providing a pulsating soundtrack for the event.
The event also marked the official launch of ticketing for the inaugural Vietnam Grand Prix, with an initial 5,570 grandstand and general admission tickets being made available to represent the 5570-metre Hanoi Street Circuit.
