F1 is back for 2-H of the season today at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, which hosts the 13th round of the season Sunday.
Sebastian Vettel returns to the scene of his last F1 victory in Belgium this weekend, with Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) well-placed to take the chequered flag Sunday.
During the mid-Summer break Scuderia Ferrari and its drivers Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc have been hard at work in preparation for this race. As usual, they carried out their track walk and met with the engineers to plan the program for Friday’s 2 free practice sessions which start at 11 and 15 CET.
Thursday afternoon, Seb and Charles met the journalists at the team’s media track home, with Mr. Vettel 1st to speak. “I’m happy to be back on track, especially as Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most exciting circuits of the season and it is great to be back here. Who are favorites? I do not think it can be us, because recently our rivals have clearly improved a lot. As for ourselves, we have nevertheless never stopped working, because sometimes, the slightest change can produce a big improvement. We have not given up, as that’s not our style. We want to win and we will keep trying right to the end,” he said,
Next Charles Leclerc said he had recharged his batteries and could not wait to get back on track. “I went to Greece and then the United States. I really relaxed and now I’m more pumped up than ever to tackle the second part of the season.” The Monegasque is determined to get the most out of his SF90. “I’m not sure that we can be considered favourites for the coming races, but we are definitely working flat out to improve our car, which has proved to be well suited to tracks with very long straights. But we need to wait until we’ve been out on track to get an idea of where we stand. It’s definitely great that the season restarts here in Spa-Francorchamps.”
After Friday’s 3 hours of free practice, there is 1 hour Saturday morning to fine tune the cars, before qualifying starts at 3.00 CET. The 64th Belgian Grand Prix gets underway at 3.10p Sunday.

Our thesis, outlined in Life of Luxury published last month, is fundamentally unchanged post Ferrari’s in-line 2-Q results. We view the stock’s recent pullback (-7.5% since July 16) as a good entry point in here.
Ferrari will continue to create value in the long term. Ferrari is a quality 1st long term investment, and I see it at 200/share in that frame.
