Friday, President Trump made a “major announcement” Saturday on the government shutdown and his demand that Congress fund the Mexican border Wall.
President Trump offered the Democrats a deal that would extend protections for so-called Dreamers by three years in exchange for $5.7-B in funds he is seeking for a border barrier in a well received speech to the nation Saturday afternoon.
President Trump said he’s considering declaring a national emergency to bypass Congress and fund the Wall. The President has not moved off from his demand that Congress spend $5.7-B this year on a border Wall.
A Tweet late Friday from our President previewing the announcement capped 3 days of positioning between the President and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D:CA).
Thursday, President Trump cancelled her use of military aircraft for the delegation to visit troops in the war zone. Telling her she was welcome to fly commercial.
