Ellis Delivered the Message to Mueller, Giuliani Delivered the Order to Sessions
Saturday, Rudy Giuliani, President Trumps personal lawyer, declared that USAG Jeff Sessions “should step up and dismiss” the Russia investigation because special counsel Robert Mueller has overstepped his mandate.
“This plays into what my client, the President of the United States, has been saying for quite some time,” Mr. Giuliani, the former NYC Mayor said on TV. “The judge said this is a witch hunt in sum and substance.”
Mayor Giuliani was referring to the US District Court Judge T.S. Ellis III in Virginia who scolded Mueller’s investigators Friday for prosecuting former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort to get him “to sing” about President Trump.
And now, “Attorney General Sessions should step up and dismiss this entire investigation,” Mr. Giuliani said.
The former mayor’s ‘Presidential Orders’ came after a week sat down for an table discussion of the issues with Sean Hannity on Fox News.
Mr. Giuliani said he backed Judge Ellis’, 77 anni, decision to admonish Robert Mueller’s team for overstepping their mandate by prosecuting Mr. Manafort in hopes of turning him against President Trump.
“The only crimes committed here were committed by the government, which is why Judge Ellis is so outraged,” Mr. Giuliani said.
“I would not be surprised if he did not dismiss this case.
“He has a right to determine that, by government misconduct, they have changed this case.
“I believe in my heart that the Supreme Court will decide that [if it got that far],” he added.
“I think Judge Ellis is tough enough and strong enough to decide that himself.”
