Donald Trump, “I solve problems.”
US President Elect Donald Trump has taken to heart intelligence briefings, acknowledging that the US has “some very big enemies,” he said in an interview Wednesday.
“I’ve had a lot of briefings that are very … I don’t want to say ‘scary,’ because I’ll solve the problems,” Donald Trump said. “But … we have some big enemies out there in this country and we have some … very big and, in some cases, strong enemies.”
“You know, I am a smart person, I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years,” Donald Trump said in December.
Now, Doanld Trump sees the intel briefings for what they are, a means to an end.
“You also realize that you’ve got to get it right because a mistake would be very, very costly in so many different ways,” Donald Trump said.
President Elect Trump said that every world leader is the same in his eyes, from traditional allies to Russia President Vladimir Putin.
“I give everybody an even start; that right now, as far as I’m concerned, everybody’s got an even start,” he said.
On the matter of Pvt Bradley (Chelsea) Manning
The Trump Administration criticized President Barack Hussein Obama’s commutation of the 35-year prison sentence for Chelsea Manning, the former Army intelligence analyst convicted of leaking classified material to our enemies.
Donald Trump’s spokesman, Sean Spicer, said that the President Elect was “troubled by this action” and that there was “a bit of irony and double standard” on the part of the president, who has expressed outrage and aggressively investigated government leaks.
