Confidence In The Thai Baht (THB)

A central bank official states that Thailand’s trade competitiveness has not been affected much by a strong baht and they are still confident that exports will grow 5 percent.

Travel

Recently, several tourists attempting to enter Thailand have been stopped and asked to show THB20,000 (about USD594) at airport immigration checkpoints. As an attempt to prevent the entrance of illegal workers, “begpackers” (backpackers who beg for money to continue traveling), and general ne’er-do-wells, immigration officials are asking some visitors to show that they are carrying THB20,000 — though the rule is not being enforced across the board.

Stochastic Oscillator

One method of interpreting the Stochastic Oscillator is looking for overbought areas (above 80) and oversold areas (below 20). The Stochastic Oscillator is 11.9049. This is an oversold reading. However, a signal is not generated until the Oscillator crosses above 20 The last signal was a sell 8 period(s) ago.

The RSI usually forms tops and bottoms before the underlying security. A buy or sell signal is generated when the RSI moves out of an overbought/oversold area. The last signal was a buy 79 period(s) ago.

Commodity Channel Index (CCI)

The CCI shows overbought (above 100) and oversold (below -100) areas. The current value of the CCI is -122.This is an oversold reading. However, a signal isn’t generated until the indicator crosses above -100. The last signal was a sell 7 period(s) ago.

MACD

The Moving Average Convergence/Divergence indicator (MACD) gives signals when it crosses its 9 period signal line. The last signal was a sell 5 period(s) ago.
